Natalie Moyle and her husband Henry Moyle are the co-founders and owners of Home Option Personal Care, a personal care home health agency.
The Moyles' services are part of a rapidly growing national trend. These services allow people needing care the choice of receiving help at home or in a retirement community instead of having to go into an institution. With a large number of family caregivers in the workplace or living out of the area, there is a growing need for professional, non-medical providers to supplement the care normally provided by family caregivers.
The services of non-medical care providers might include: companionship, supervision, bathing, and dressing, and toileting, meal preparation, monitoring medications, laundry, light housekeeping, incontinence care, shopping, errands, transportation and 24-hour phone support.
Natalie supervises non-medical care services provided by over 70 bonded and trained Home Option employees. She meets with families needing care for loved-ones and coordinates services to lift the burden on family caregivers and allow care recipients to remain in a home or community setting. Henry is responsible for all financial/accounting details and together they handle the business management.
The Moyles formally began preparing for careers in the field of eldercare during the late 1980's. Both Henry and Natalie completed their undergraduate work at the University of Utah. Natalie received a BA in Sociology. Henry later completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Natalie's love for the elderly was sparked early in her schooling. Upon graduation she accepted a position with The Western Institute of Neuropsychiatry in the Intensive Treatment Unit where she dealt extensively with mental illness and geriatric patients. Natalie has an in depth understanding of the many difficult issues facing the elderly and their families.
Natalie is a certified mediator, and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on crisis management. She enjoys the time she spends counseling and consulting with families and their loved ones.
In 1993, after the birth of their son Garret, Henry and Natalie accepted a position as live-in caregivers which lasted a total of three years. It was during this time that they became aware of the need for in-home personal care. Most people want to age gracefully in comfort of their own home, and simply need a little extra help to make it possible. Henry and Natalie put together a company that delivers customized personal care right to your door. As a result the Moyles are very knowledgeable of the needs of the elderly as well as the resources available to them along the Wasatch Front.
In 1996, Home Option Personal Care became a reality. Home Option pioneered the concept of non-medical home care services in Utah and as a result has become the oldest such provider in the state.
The Moyles have dedicated their lives to caring for the elderly. Their previous hands-on experience coupled with their knowledge and understanding of the needs of the elderly make the Moyles a valuable resource to caregivers or to those anticipating a future caregiver role.
In 1999, they were blessed with another son Parker. The Moyles live in Sandy, Utah, they enjoy spending time together boating, camping, four-wheeling, skiing and traveling.
